The 3 Wheel Mobility Scooter

In the early days, there were just 3 wheeled scooters that were very simple in design. On the up side they were short, lightweight and manoeuvrable in restricted areas, on the down side they could be dangerously unstable when in inexperienced hands or on uneven terrain. This could potentially lead to vehicles tipping and to serious injury. This instability also made users feel less confident in the ability of the scooter to transport them safely.

The 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter

The industry then turned its attention to the 4 wheeled scooter which addresses many of the stability issues but in doing so created two new major disadvantages. The first was restricted leg space and poor posture caused by the vehicle’s layout. The second was the increased length of the vehicle inherent in all 4 wheelers, which in turn meant a poor turning circle, poor weight distribution and restricted manoeuvrability. And until recently, those were your only options.

(AVC) Advanced Vehicle Concepts took up the challenge to solve these long standing issues and design a new breed of mobility scooter that would perform beyond these limitations. Introducing the world’s first true 5 wheel scooters with Quintell™ Technology. This offers genuine stability and safety benefits for users while maintaining agility. The unique ergonomic anatomical driving position achieved using Quintell™ technologies assures a natural posture and comfortable ride.

Stability Like No Other

Only Quingo mobility scooters offer the unique 5 wheel stability system which gives a better turning circle without compromising agility. It affords superb control on slopes and kerbs, Quingo’s forward sitting position means better weight distribution for hills and bumps. Unsurpassed Manoeuvrability

Quingo mobility scooters benefit from a turning circle as small as 102cm, this allows safer and tighter turns in shops and confined areas. When directly compared to 4 wheel mobility scooters of an equivalent length, the Quingo not only have far superior agility, they require significantly less reversing and fewer 3 point turns are needed. This gives safer manoeuvrability in small local shops and malls or in any area where space is a limiting factor.

Enhanced Comfort

With Quingo’s feet forward adaptive footplates the advantages are clear. Quingo is the only mobility scooter range that feature adaptive footplates and fully ergonomic posture control, giving exceptional comfort even on lengthy outings. This creates less stress on back, hips, knees and ankle joints with its precise leg and foot positioning. Quingo mobility scooters offer 80% more foot space than a comparable length 4 wheel mobility scooter which will allows the best possible anatomical driving position.

Unequalled Performance On Kerbs

Kerbs can represent considerable obstacle to scooter users. While some mobility scooters can handle kerbs by approaching them head on, only the Quingo’s 5 wheel system offers the capability to ascend and descend kerbs at angles, it is designed to cope with kerbs at up to a 45 degree angle and up to 3 inches in height. It functions equally well going up kerbs as well as coming down. In addition Quingo’s Kerbmaster prevents tipping and eliminates beaching.
